It monitors positive or differential pressures of non-corrosive gases and air relative to a predefined set point. When the pressure crosses this limit, the integrated high-precision snap-acting MICRO SWITCH triggers a system control action—making it an essential safety interlocking component for commercial burners, heating equipment, and gas train systems.

Product Status Note: In many regional markets, the C6045D1050 has been phased out or succeeded by newer models, such as the C6097A4110.

1. Installation Hazards

• Qualified Personnel Only: The device must only be installed, adjusted, or replaced by a trained, licensed HVAC/combustion field engineer.

• Power Lockout: Disconnect the electrical power supply completely before opening the device cover or initiating wiring to prevent lethal electric shock.

2. Operational Rules

• Horizontal Adjustments: The device can be mounted up to 90° from a horizontal position. However, severe tilting can marginally shift the gravity-impacted calibration point. Always verify final settings with a precise manometer.

• Combustible Gases Venting: In differential pressure applications involving combustible gases, the lower pressure/vent connection (1/8") must be properly piped directly back to the combustion chamber or dedicated outdoor vent line rather than discharging into the ambient room air.

3. Verification & Maintenance

• Adjustment Mechanism: Remove the top protective cover and use the interior adjustment screw. Spin towards "+" to raise the activation pressure threshold and "-" to decrease it.

• Routine Safety Testing: Periodically close manual gas main valves slowly during live burner runs to ensure the C6045D properly cuts the circuit and triggers the system lock-out when pressure drops to the selected limit.
